Green packaging material PLA
Nowadays, environmental and energy problems such as global warming and depletion of oil resources will become more and more prominent and serious. The urgency of greenhouse gas emission reduction is also becoming more and more evident in countries around the world.
PLA is fully written as: polylactic acid, also known as polypropylene cross-ester (polylactide), belongs to the polyester family. PLA is a polymer obtained by polymerization of lactic acid as the main raw material, the raw material source is sufficient and renewable, mainly from corn, cassava and other raw materials.
PLA (polylactic acid) is considered to be the most promising green material in terms of material properties, mass production efficiency, cost, supply stability, and adaptability from practical applications to molding and processing.

In addition, there are many other advantages of PLA as packaging material.
* Renewability of PLA raw materials: The raw materials of PLA are mainly corn, cassava and other plant materials, which are easily available and renewable, suitable for large-scale intensive production.
* 100% degradable PLA products: After use, PLA products are completely degraded by microorganisms in nature and eventually produce carbon dioxide and water, which does not pollute the environment, which is very beneficial to the protection of the environment. Incineration of PLA also does not release toxic gases such as nitrides and sulfides. Compared with traditional petrochemical plastic products, which are prone to produce a lot of harmful substances when incinerated and extremely difficult to degrade after landfill, which seriously damages the environment; PLA has outstanding advantages as a green packaging material.
